POP FEMINIST PERBLOG

I'm mean like a snake and I'll never change.

I talk about gender. My research interests fall somewhere around the materiality & memory & feelings of pop punk, (maybe especially a theory/poetics of mark hoppus), regular old punk I guess, archiving/thinking about feminist makeupping, embodying & theorizing hair, (especially my own stupid problems with it), horror and its bodies, teensploitation and its bodies, zines, and book covers. Most of all (or sometimes as an afterthought), the artifacts and ideology of pop or whatever. My theory tag is poorly organized but it's important.

I say things about music and cats and television and film and books and art and fashion just like anyone else, I guess. I feel kind of shitty that I lump all my posts about not-just-feminist social justice concerns into one tag. My domestic life is all booze and manic episodes and my cat, and on the occasion that I make something I will post about it.

More than anything I overshare like it's praxis, like it's the end of the world, like we'll all die if I don't. I try to perform a radical feminist narcissism but mostly I just document my face or episodes of mania and/or acts of meanness directed at dudes who deserve it.
