Carrie Nations’ Be Still is close to the most perfect album I’ve ever heard. Prove to me there is a song better than “Girlfriend” or “Firemans Bakesale” or “Farming Communities” on the planet. There isn’t.
This is a public service: the album is still available at Side Ponytail and you really have no excuse not to listen to it. I’m really, really sick of not having any friends who listen to it. And I want to ask you, also, to buy it (or the 7”) at No Idea. If there’s anything on the planet you should buy, it is this thing.
